Join Us
You can join us any time of the year. Our annual membership runs from April to September. For 2026 the fee for new members is £140.
For this you can play all day every day. Additionally you can join our various teams across two local leagues, and visit and play other clubs in the area. We have an active social calendar and you and your friends are more than welcome to attend. We have 2 rinks reserved for the general public when required, you can just drop in, pay the fee, and enjoy the game.

Each new member will have a specific Buddy allocated to them. This is an experienced club member who will look after the new member during their first season, to be there as their “friend” who can introduce the new member to all the activities within the club. This is particularly useful in supporting the new member on the day they act as steward for the club (something all members new and existing do each year), showing them the ropes and helping them. New members are not just left to fend for themselves.

Location +
We are located on the towns Recreation Ground (see map below), next to the Memorial Centre, and within walking distance of the main shopping areas. There are several B&B’s and hotels in the area all offering a range of accommodation. And only 5 minutes drive to the beach, it is the ideal location for a family day out while the others enjoy the bowling.
2 Bowling Greens +
The video above clearly shows the superb 6 rink greens. Having 2 greens available is quite rare in the area, which allows us to have a good sized membership, and plenty bowling activities. The pavilion between the greens allows us to have changing rooms, toilets, committee room, stewards office, bar, lounge, cafeteria and large kitchen. The perfect balance for an exciting bowling experience and enjoyable social relaxation.
160+ Members +
We are very lucky to have a sizeable membership balance between ladies and Gents, (and yes excellent harmony!), and a wide range of ages and skills. This allows us to have several teams in league competitions, and around 20-30 turn up every morning during the seasons for the daily roll up. We have a number of volunteer teams (see index above) all contributing to keeping the club, its facilities, the greens, and activities right up to date and vibrant. The successes of the teams in the leagues and the club individual champions are all listed under 2023 Results.
Social Activities +
Its not always just bowling at New Milton Bowling Club, although that is very important. Bowling becomes more enjoyable when combined with excellent catering and lots of fun social events. This can be seen in the many events we have especially during the winter months. The club holds these events at least twice a month, with the bar open and most occasions food available. Everything from horse racing, bingo, quizzes and the like. Very enjoyable occasions. And all the profit from these events goes towards our chosen charity for the year. And for 2023 this is the Hampshire and IOW air sea rescue, building up a cheque for them of…£1600………
Professional Teams +
We are fortunate to have members who offer their professional services to the club to enhance the members’ experience. From our catering and bar team, to the team that looks after the greens and surrounding gardens. Add to this our coaching team, who are available every Wednesday morning during the season, and other times as required, and we are proud to have such members prepared to give up their time and skills for the benefit of the club. Club House & Bar +
We are fortunate to have an excellent social team – see picture of the team in Club Organsiation and first class facilities. The pictures show these facilities which are used all through the playing season, and regularly through the winter season. Our kitchen and bar facility allows us to provide excellent service to our members, and friends and family, and visiting teams. We also provide the facility for members to hold private celebrations like birthday parties or the like. We can cater up to 80 sitting down and so ensure a year long facility for making membership of New Milton Bowling Club an enjoyable experience.
Taster Option +
If you are a new member or new to bowls, to help you make up your mind we also have a 4 week introduction membership for £25 to allow you to fully immerse yourself in the club on a day to day basis.
Weekly Activities:
•Roll up for all and any members every morning in the season from 10am
•Free coaching session every Wednesday morning
• Friday night roll up and fun competition followed by drink and food

Open Days +
We hold open days every start of the season for those interested in joining. This is completely free of charge with all equipment provided. The dates for 2024 will be published towards the end of this year but will be in early April 2024. During the day you will meet the coaches and several of new members who have taken the plunge and joined just recently, as well as several of the long term members.
